All participants should arrive between 10 AM and no latter than 10:30 AM - Saturday, 7 NOV 09.  Parade steps off at 11:00 AM SHARP.

Participants are reminded to follow instructions of division marshals and to keep the parade moving Please refrain from stopping and performing along the parade route as this causes unnecessary breaks and delays in the parade. Everyone is reminded not to throw any items towards the crowds. If you are giving away anything please do not throw it but give it directly.

REMEMBER your DIVISION letter and Number to expedite the staging.  Thank you.

 Divisions A & D will organize on Quarry Road between Maple St & Prescott Ave.  Drop off will be at corner of Maple & Quarry Road near Seaton High School.

 Divisions B, C & E will organize on Quarry Road between Euclid and Prescott.  All participants are to enter Quarry Road from Euclid Ave. Short term parking for drop off is available at Payne Publishing.

 There is NO Entry of Vehicles from Prescott Ave onto Quarry Road

 All Marshals will be wearing green EVENT STAFF vests.  2 marshals will be assigned to each of the divisions in the parade and are available to answer questions and assist as needed.  Additional marshals will be along the parade route and will provide assistance as needed.

 After dropping off at Payne Publishing please move vehicles to municipal parking available in Old Town Manassas. 

  All participants will disperse at the municipal parking lot located between Center & Church Street (behind the 7-Eleven) Some participants may be directed to use the municipal lot near the Harris Pavilion to give them time to break down their floats or other special needs. Please follow the instructions of Marshals and Police officers directing traffic.

 No floats will be permitted to exit dispersal area unless all objects and persons are secure

 We have bleachers available for viewing the parade at City Hall Bleachers located at West & Center Streets are reserved for WWII Veterans

 The Reviewing stand will be located at the Harris Pavilion facing the intersection of Center & West Streets.

Portable restrooms with handicap accessibility are available on Quarry Road across from the Assisted Living Center, City Hall and at the BB& T Bank on Center and West Street. Public restrooms are also available at the Harris Pavilion for your use.

 Thank you for following these few safety rules and we hope you will have as much fun in the parade as everyone watching.

VERY LIMITED parking in the staging area.  Please drop off participants and depart. NO Vehicles except those in the parade will be permitted to enter staging area. This is for the safety of all participants. Parade Marshals will be available to assist you with directions. Look for them in safety vests and ball caps.

Parking is available at the City Municipal Parking lots located on Prince William Street (near train depot), across from the Train Station (Near Osborn HS), City Hall and on Church Street [see map below].

Please note additional Handicap parking space designated at Train Station and City Hall.  The City lot located between Center Street and Church Street along with Harris Pavilion will be closed during the parade.

WWII VETERANS INSTRUCTIONS FOLLOWS:  The designated WWII veterans departure point for those WWII veterans riding or marching in the parade is VFW Post 7589 located at 9304 Centreville Rd., Manassas which is next to a fire house on Centreville Rd.  There will be parking in the rear of VFW 7589.  YOU are requested to be at this location NO later than 0915 [9:15 a.m.] on Saturday, 7 NOV 09, to board the trailer and military vehicles.  Plan to arrive earlier to partake in coffee and donuts and to use the head/latrine prior to embarking. 

Any WWII veteran desiring to participate in the parade but not wishing to first go to VFW Post 7589 NEEDS to be at the Parade Staging Area [Quarry Road & Prescott Ave] NO later than 1015 [10:15 a.m.] for assembly.  The Parade shall step off at 1100 [11:00 am.] SHARP.  We estimate the parade will take one [1] hour. 

All WWII veterans will be furnished a ride back to the VFW to retrieve their vehicles.  After the Parade American Legion Post 10 [9950 Cockrell Rd., Manassas] will host a complimentary light lunch for all participants.

WWII veterans desiring to participate as spectators in the designated VIP Veterans' bleacher seating should be at the corner of Center & West Streets NO later than 1015 [10:15 a.m.].  Access to this area will be from Prince William Street since Center St. will be closed.  There is parking at the VRE Rail Station, the Municipal parking lot at Prince William Street between Main & Battle Streets.                                    

Parade marshals wearing green vests and ball caps will be at various locations to assist.  We look forward to your participation.

Directions to Participants Staging Area

From I 66 (Eastbound):

• Take Exit 44 – 234 South.

• Follow to RT. 28 (Nokesville Road) NORTH through Old Town Manassas.

• Turn Right onto Liberia Ave.

• Turn Right onto Euclid Ave. and follow until it merges with Quarry Road

• Drop off parking at Payne Publishing on the left.

From I-66 (Westbound):

• Take Exit 53 (Rte 28) South toward Manassas

• Follow directions for From RT 28, Points North below.

From I 95:

• Follow RT 234 North / West to Manassas City.

• Turn onto Prince William Parkway (it becomes Liberia Ave).

• Stay on Liberia Ave until you reach Euclid Ave.

• Turn Left onto Euclid Ave. and follow until it merges with Quarry Road

• Drop off parking at Payne Publishing on the left.

From RT 28, Points North:

• Follow 28 SOUTH until you reach Liberia Ave.

• Turn LEFT onto Liberia Ave follow until you reach Euclid Ave.

• Turn RIGHT onto Euclid Ave – follow until merges with Quarry Road.

• Drop off parking at Payne Publishing on the left.  

From RT28, Points South:

• Follow RT28 NORTH through Manassas City to Liberia Ave.

• Turn RIGHT onto Liberia Ave follow until you reach Euclid Ave.

• Turn RIGHT onto Euclid Ave – follow until merges with Quarry Road.

• Drop off parking at Payne Publishing on the left.  

To Park in Old Town Manassas from the staging area: 

• Follow Quarry Road back to Liberia Ave.

• Turn LEFT onto Liberia Ave.   Follow to RT 28 (Centreville Road).

• Turn LEFT onto RT 28 SOUTH (becomes Church St).

• Turn Left onto RT 234, follow to Prince William Ave.

• Turn Left onto Prince William Ave.

• Parking Available at Train Station on the Left. 

The walk back to the staging area is less then one mile.  Parade Marshals will help direct you back to the front of the parade.
